Notes & Tips contain additional information that can enhance your movie making experience. I often share my experience there and short cuts or tips that I use.
For example, in the tutorial on Video Effects, I share the four video effects that I use most and where I use them. On the tutorial on Adding Sound to your video, I give you the web site where you can free music and sound effects for your home movies.

Homework

If you don't own a Mini-DV camcorder yet, start asking your friends and family what they use and ask them how they like it.
Create a workspace for your movie studio where you can plug your camcorder without risk of getting knocked over.
If you can, have a dedicated home movie PC so your kids aren't loading their games and downloading what-nots from the web to your PC.
